Access from Santa Marta
- AIRWAY:
Simón Bolívar Airport Santa Marta: National and international destination: you can fly from major cities such as Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, Cartagena, Barranquilla among others with airlines such as Avianca, LATAM Airlines, from Central America and the Caribbean with international airlines such as Turkish Airlines, Wingo. - TAXI:
From Simón Bolívar Airport in Santa Marta you can take a taxi which costs approximately $130,000 COP, the journey takes 45 to 50 minutes and its destination is the main entrance of the ZAINO park. - BY LAND:
At the Santa Marta Transportation Terminal, you have different routes depending on your city of origin. Travel times can vary. For example, Barranquilla takes 2 hours, Cartagena 4 hours, and Medellín and Bogotá approximately 16 hours. Once you arrive at the terminal, you can take a taxi to the public market at Calle 12 and Carrera 9. From there, buses depart every 15 minutes for Tayrona National Natural Park. The fare is approximately COP $8,000 per person. When boarding the bus, tell the driver you want to be dropped off at the El Zaino entrance to the park.
PRIVATE TAXI:
From Barranquilla / Riohacha: you can take this service from these cities of origin which has an approximate cost of $300,000 COP to the PNNT.
- To get to Ecohabs and Cabañas Tequendama, you must take the Santa Marta – Riohacha road to the main entrance of Tayrona Park, entering through the El Zaino sector.
- At this point it is mandatory to purchase the official entrance to the Tayrona National Natural Park and assistance insurance, values that are not included within the accommodation rate.
- Once you have checked in, you can continue your journey to our property, passing through unique natural landscapes and enjoying the ecological richness that characterizes this region of the Colombian Caribbean.
- Depending on the operational conditions and the access enabled by the park, the journey may include authorized transport and walking tours along ecological trails, providing an immersive experience from the first moment of your visit.

- 15 minutes from the Zaino entrance of Tayrona Park are the Ecohabs Playa Cañaveral.
- 30 minutes walking to La Piscina Beach from Playa Arrecifes.
- 90 minutes walking is Playa Arrecifes, where the Cabins and the Camping are located.
